To help you stay on track with upcoming deadlines, we have created a list of important tasks to complete prior to your arrival. We highly encourage you to review the checklist regularly for a reminder of approaching deadlines.

Fall 2023
- Check your Tulane email regularly.
- Complete the online New Student Modules.
- Read the NTC Reading Project Book, On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong.
- You should have received an email from College Advising about setting up a registration appointment. If not, reach out to your Advisor to register for classes!
- November 15: Deadline for students living off campus to complete your Student Evacuation Plan in Gibson Online so you are prepared in the event of a weather emergency (students living on campus will have completed this in their housing application).
- November 15: Deadline to complete the housing application found on the Housing Portal. You will be notified of your housing assignment via your Tulane email by mid-December. Questions? Contact Housing and Residence Life.
- Review the Spring Move-In Guide.
- Complete the application for academic and housing accommodations. Request accommodations through the Goldman Center for Student Accessibility and submit any necessary documentation. Questions? Contact the Goldman Center.
- December 10: Deadline to register for 2024 Panhellenic Recruitment.
Spring 2024
- Check your Tulane email regularly.
- January 15: Spring Tuition Bill Due. Tulane Accounts Receivable bills are paid through Gibson Online on the Billing tab. View your bill beginning December 16. Explore Financial Aid checklists and resources.
- January 15: Deadline to enroll in or opt out of the Tulane-sponsored Health Insurance Plan (T-SHIP). Enrollment opens on December 7.
- January 16: Deadline to complete the five required online wellness courses. Check your Tulane email in December for instructions on completing these courses.
- February 15: Deadline to submit your immunization compliance form and/or vaccination records to The Health Center via Tulane's Patient Portal.
Lagniappe
In New Orleans, the word "lagniappe" means something extra. Below are some extra tasks to explore prior to your arrival on campus:
- Enter your chosen name and pronouns through Gibson Online.
- Review the Housing and Residence Life Community Living Standards.
- Review the Code of Student Conduct.
- Review the university computer and device recommendations.
- Check with Technology Connection, the Tulane campus computer store, for back-to-school computer specials with promotions from Apple and other manufacturers.
- Transfer your prescriptions to our on-campus Pharmacy.
- Looking for a job on campus? All work study and non-work study student employment opportunities are posted on Handshake to search and apply. We also hold a Student Job Fair in the LCB on the 2nd day of classes. Remember to bring original documents (passport, SS card, or Birth Certificate) with you to campus to complete your I-9. You won’t be able to start working without one. Copies cannot be accepted. Visit Student Employment’s website for more information.
- Explore the list of student organizations and browse campus events on WaveSync.
- Download the CORQ App for a one-stop shop to learn more about campus events and organizations. You will login using your Tulane email and password.
- Become familiar with Tulane’s Core Curriculum.
- Explore Tulane’s comprehensive list of majors and minors. There are over 80 to explore!
