Summer Action Items

  • Decide on your fall institution and fill out the fall plans form. This form will get sent out by May 1st from NTC College Programs.
  • Register for courses.
    • If attending a partner institution, they’ll provide a list of approved courses.
    • If attending a domestic institution, you’ll need to go through credit evaluation process. You must enroll in your institution of choice and register for classes. From there you will email crediteval@tulane.edu with a copy of your unofficial transcript (or other proof of enrollment) and a syllabus for each class you are taking. They will get back to you within 10 business days to let you know if the class is eligible for transfer. This process should be done early in the summer.
  • Get Visa squared away (if applicable).
    • Your abroad institution will let you know if you need a Visa. There are very specific requirements for some countries (especially Italy), so please be sure to keep up with communication.
      • Please reach out to Destiny Karash-Givens (dkarashgivens@tulane.edu) directly if you need a letter for the consulate stating you are attending Tulane in the spring.
        • Be mindful of your consulate location as well, there are specific consulates you may have to go to that may be far away. Los Angeles and Miami are notorious for taking forever, so please get that process started ASAP.
  • Get any applicable credits (AP, Dual Enrollment, and Summer Classes) approved. Email advising@tulane.edu any transcripts from dual enrollment or summer classes. Your AP classes will be sent automatically via College Board.
  • Complete your online learning modules.
    • The modules have helpful information to keep in mind for when you arrive to Tulane in the spring.
  • Log into all of your Tulane accounts (Gibson, Outlook Email).
  • Get familiar with your fall intuition’s online platforms (Moodle, Blackboard, etc.).
  • Attend a pre-departure session: These will be virtual.
