Hi!! My name is Eliza Mullins (she/her) and I am a FY5 for the 2024-2025 school year! I am originally from Lexington, Kentucky and I am so excited to be in such an artistic town like New Orleans!
My majors here at Tulane are Spanish and Digital Media Practices. Here on campus, I am involved in Green Wave Films (I was social media manager last semester), Green Envy A cappella, Tulane Performing Arts Society, and Kappa Alpha Theta. I do a lot of singing, dancing, and acting here at Tulane as well! First semester I played Olive in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and second semester I played Hope in Urinetown. I have also acted in a bunch of senior Capstones for Digital Media Practices and helped out on their sets! As you might have guessed, my main interests are musical theatre and film. I am the person who is always watching a movie and posting a review on Letterboxd (follow me @elizamullins). I also love travel and I backpacked around Europe in summer 2023!
What I love most about Tulane and New Orleans is the constant atmosphere of the arts that surrounds the entire city. Even if someone doesn’t consider themselves an artist, they have a certain appreciation for the arts here that no other place has. And one piece of advice I would give to first-year students is to not stress about having a “best friend” right away. Don’t be stressed if it seems like everyone already has a friend group or a best friend and you don’t yet. Take your time to meet new people so that you can make sure you surround yourself with the people who bring out the best parts of you. I can’t wait to meet you all and share some amazing content!
