Hey, y’all! My name is Cameron (he/him) and I’m from Baton Rouge, Louisiana which is just an hour drive up I-10 from New Orleans! I am a sophomore majoring in Digital Media Practices and English with minors in Film Studies and Strategy, Leadership, and Analytics. I serve as the Cinematography Chair of the brand-new Green Wave Films club (which you should all join because it’s AWESOME) and participate in the campus chapter of Alpha Phi Omega! I also work as a student tutor at The Willow School, which is about a ten-minute walk from campus. I love thrifting, biking, live music, writing, watching movies (obviously), and walking around Audubon Park at sunset! My main passion is filmmaking, so chances are you’ll see me around campus behind a camera helping with someone else’s project or making one of my own! My favorite movies are Parasite, Mulholland Drive, The Truman Show, and Scream, and some of my favorite artists include Charli XCX, Rina Sawayama, Gorillaz, Weyes Blood, and Kendrick Lamar!
If you want some DELICIOUS food recommendations for your first year in New Orleans, I would highly recommend Barracuda on Tchopitoulas, The Ruby Slipper on Magazine, Origami on Freret, French Toast on Decatur, and Hieux Seafood House on S Carrollton!
