Hey y’all! My name is Devan Chadha and I’m so excited to be a part of the 2026-2027 First-Year Five team! I’m a sophomore from Houston, TX majoring in Finance with a minor in Political Science.
At Tulane, I am a member of TUPAS, the performing arts society on campus. Being a part of TUPAS has allowed me to meet so many new people, grow my own acting and tech skills, and participate in fun activities! I am also a College Scholar for this year and a First-Year Peer Mentor, so you might see me in your TIDES class. Whatever you’re interested in, Tulane has a ton of amazing organizations, clubs, and activities to get involved with!
In my free time, I love reading the latest sci-fi or mystery book, watching TV, baking new recipes, going on walks through Audubon, or exploring the city through its coffee shops (Shout-out French Truck Coffee!).
Tulane is an amazing place to meet new people, explore all of your academic interests, and enjoy everything New Orleans has to offer! My biggest advice for first-year students is to get involved and meet new people! Don’t be afraid of trying new things or activities. They can really help you find your people and place on campus and make your freshman year really fun and exciting!
