Get to Know Zoe

Hello! My name is Zoe Yates. Zoe actually means “Life” in Greek which is a great descriptor of my personality, which is very lively!

I am from a small town called Monroe, Washington which is about 40 minutes north of Seattle. I am from the Pacific Northwest so coffee is in my blood and I love to enjoy a coffee everyday on my way to class or over a meal. I love traveling and seeing new places. I also love taking walks and going to Audubon. I really try to explore New Orleans as much as I can and visit local coffee shops on the weekends. Self-care is very important to me and each week I host spa nights to rejuvenate!

I am double majoring in Political Science/International Development (PSDV) as well as Latin American Studies (LAST) with my target languages being Spanish and Portuguese. I am double minoring in Gender and Sexuality Studies (GESS) as well as Social Innovation/Social Entrepreneurship (SISE). I am also on the track for the Gender Based Violence Certificate. I currently work for the Tulane School of Architecture as their social media student worker.

Whenever you see me on campus feel free to wave me down and say hi! Also reach out to me anytime and I would love to talk to you; we can get a cup of coffee!
